Three months old, voted Gold: Chilliwack names Lampstand among its top post-secondary schools

CHILLIWACK, B.C. — Lampstand School of AI Transformation has been awarded Gold in the College and University category of CommunityVotes Chilliwack 2026, as voted by Chilliwack residents. The full results are published on the CommunityVotes Chilliwack website. The school, founded in the city earlier this year, placed second among seven institutions in the category, ahead of several long-established universities and colleges.

"We opened our doors three months ago with one promise: teach our neighbours to build with AI, not just watch it happen," said founder and principal John Manoah. "For the community to put a brand-new school on this list, beside institutions we deeply respect, tells us Chilliwack wants what we're building. This award belongs to every resident who voted, and we intend to earn it again."

Lampstand's 12-week AI Builders Program runs live online on evenings and weekends, requires no technical background, and is certified by Employment and Social Development Canada under the Income Tax Act. The next cohort begins February 2027; applications are open at lampstand.school/apply.
